Why I am AWESOME! (Self brag)

Legendary coach Bill Bowerman said “if you have a body, you’re an athlete.” I truly believe that I am a life-long athlete. I’m a former Division II basketball player (Bellarmine University, 2001), competitive indoor rower (7th in my division at the 2011 World Indoor Rowing Championships), and have a fair amount of experience in CrossFit. Whenever I coach, I have a moment when I get goosebumps. I truly love helping others improve their quality of life through movement. I’m extremely thankful to be a part of the NapTown Community.

What I bring to the table!

Passion and Experience – I started CrossFitting in 2008 by myself at rec centers, parking lots and playgrounds. I earned my first Level 1 Certification in 2009 at The Ranch in Aromas. I started coaching in 2013 while living in New Zealand. I later went on to be the general manager for CrossFit MANA in Palmerston North, NZ and recertified my Level 1 in Auckland, NZ in 2014.

Why Fitness and Health?

When we were younger, recess was a normal part of our day. As we get older we forget how to play and the importance it holds in our health and well-being. CrossFit is like recess to me. Our bodies are designed to move, not sit in front of a computer all day. Your health is the greatest investment you can make. I love how CrossFit humbles me and exposes my weaknesses. I also love how it empowers me and shows me how I can accomplish more than what I thought was possible.
