Empowering people to be the best version of themselves.
I first found CrossFit as a Freshman at IUPUI. Leading up to finding CrossFit, my “fitnessing” was limited to running, bicep curls, and of course….BENCH PRESS. I have a very addictive personality so once I got a taste I could not get enough.
The day I signed up for a membership at CrossFit NapTown was the same day I started working in exchange for my membership. After getting my butt kicked by what I consider the best coaching staff in the Midwest (no bias here…), I jumped at the opportunity to become part of CrossFit NapTown’s coaching staff.
I started as an 18 year old kid mopping the floor and taking out the trash. Fast forward a couple of years and I am contributing to the growth of NapTown Fitness.
“How you do anything is how you do everything.”
As I mentioned above, “dedicated is one word I use to describe myself.” I am dedicated to the CrossFit methodology, the business of CrossFit NapTown, each class I lead, and every athlete that I coach.
I was once told by a coach that I look up to very much, “An athlete should never leave your class wanting more.” I challenge myself to add value to every class and athlete I coach. I strive to do this by making each athlete in my class feel like they are the only athlete in my class.
Studies show that people who make the change for a healthier lifestyle will have the same impact on others they are close to. By helping one individual change to a healthier lifestyle, that person will likely go home and recruit someone else. A cycle has then been created to promote health and fitness.
I believe people want to be healthy. They just need support and guidance. I want to be that support and guidance.
